▪ Can I ship an instrument to you?
Violins, violas and cellos can be shipped via UPS, FedEx, or USPS. If you need to ship a bass, we can provide a hard travel case. Please contact us for details on shipping options.
▪Do you sell instruments on consignment?
Yes...we take 20% of the final purchase price, not including tax.
▪ Do you do appraisals?
We're happy to give you our professional opinion on the value of any instrument you bring in. For a modest fee, we can provide you with a written appraisal for insurance or other purposes. If you need further authentication, we can refer you to other resources.
▪ Do you re-hair and/or repair bows?
We have a relationship with a great local bowmaker and repairman and pass this work along to him. You may drop off and pick up your bow at our shop; turnaround time is normally less than two weeks.
Rental FAQ
▪ What's required to rent an instrument?
You must be at least 21 years of age and have two (2) major credit cards on file with us.
You can dowload and print a copy of our rental application (PDF file - 63kb) or drop by the shop and pick one up.
▪ What instuments do you rent?
Violins, Violas and Cellos.
▪ What's the minimum rental period?
At the time of rental, two months must be paid in advance.
▪ What's the monthly charge to rent an instrument?
Basic student violin outfits including case, bow and rosin start at $18 per month.
▪ How can I pay for a rental?
Credit or debit card, cash, or personal / business check with valid ID.
▪ What is your policy on rent-to-own?
A maximum of six (6) months of your rental may be applied to the purchase of the rental instrument or another of equal or greater value.
▪ What if a rental instrument is damaged, stolen or lost?
Damage, theft, or loss of rental instruments is the sole responsibility of the renter, including cost of replacement or repairs, including freight charges and taxes.
